Company Profile

Established by owner and president Andrew S. Barr, PE, PhD in 1992 as Barr Engineering, Inc., Barr & Prevost provides transportation engineering  design services to public and private clients throughout Ohio and West Virginia.  Our client base includes the Ohio and West Virginia Departments of Transportation, the Ohio Department of Natural Resources, the Ohio Turnpike Commission, the cities of  Columbus and Cleveland, Ohio, and the Montgomery County, Franklin County, and Fairfield County Engineers, among others.  We maintain a seasoned and innovative staff of engineers, architects and technicians, augmenting their abilities with the most recent design software releases, and encouraging them in meeting continuing education goals.  Three office locations, in Columbus and Lebanon, Ohio, and Parkersburg, West Virginia, enable us to respond quickly to the needs of our client base.  In addition, our testing lab is centrally located in the Columbus area.

Barr & Prevost is a participant in the U.S. Small Business Administration's (SBA) 8(a) BD program, and has been certified as a Small Disadvantaged Business (SDB) to September of 2012.  We are pre-qualified with ODOT as well as being a State of Ohio approved Equal Opportunity Employer, Minority Business Enterprise, and Disadvantaged Business Enterprise.
