Project Description:
Barr & Prevost in a Joint Venture with KZF Design was selected in August, 2009 by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers for this SBA 8(a) Set Aside IDIQ task order contract for architectural, civil, structural, electrical, mechanical, geotechnical, environmental, communication and value engineering services as well as fire protection, interior design, cost estimating, landscape architecture, hazardous materials inspection and abatement.  The Barr & Prevost/KZF Design Joint Venture was selected for our abilities in a number of areas that will be necessary for the successful completion of the proposed projects.  Following is a list of the selection criteria:

• Investigation, engineering and drafting, implementation planning, construction bid documentation and cost estimating
• Project Manager's ability to lead teams and control costs, quality of work and compliance with schedules
• Demonstrated cost control for design and construction
• Specific expertise for site development (including landscaping), architectural building systems, interior design, electrical, mechanical and environmental sampling design and remediation
• Construction management and engineering support during construction capabilities
• Leadership in Environmental and Energy Design (LEED) accredited professionals
• Experience incorporating sustainable design practices
