Construction Testing
Barr & Prevost provides QC/QA testing and inspection services for Portland cement concrete, mortar and grout, and hot mix asphalt performed by ACI and ODOT-certified technicians in the field and our laboratory.
In-field testing and inspections are performed at the construction site or at the material batch plant. Field vehicles are fully outfitted with testing equipment and supplies, and we utilize a climate-controlled trailer for on-site storage of concrete test cylinders when environmental conditions are expected to be outside acceptable parameters. Field testing inspection and testing services include:

Laboratory tests are conducted at our AASHTO R18 certified testing facility located in Columbus, Ohio. Our lab facilities, equipment, and personnel are regularly inspected and evaluated by the AASHTO Materials Reference Laboratory (AMRL) and the Cement & Concrete Reference Laboratory (CCRL). Typical laboratory testing services include:
- Concrete compressive strength testing
- Cube/prism compressive strength testing
